The Regional Office has already issued the NCAs for the 2nd tranche adjustment for the period June 24 to Dec. 2010 - for DepEd, DPWH, DOH, SUCs, TESDA and CHED.

Good Evening. I am a Science HS teacher here in Cavite. would like to clarify the provisions of the memorandum issued by USec. Bacani dated July 22, 2009. It is stated there that in order to be entitled to the 3 - step increment, the teacher must possess ANY OF the criteria stated. That means I am entitled to the said increment since I am a Biology major even though I have only served four years in the DepEd. But the Form A attached to the said memorandum has notes and one of them stated that "Only teachers of Years I - IV teaching Science and Math for the last 5 consecutive years shall be included in the list". As a result of this, our principal did not inlclude my name and the names other science teachers who have not yet serve 5 years in the dept. of education . This has created confusion among us. Sir, I am asking for the clarification regarding the matter. I am hoping for your kind consideration. Thank you

Sorry, I have not received the DepEd internal guidelines on the in-step adjustment of teachers specializing in Science and Math. My understanding is that the DepEd internal guidelines would have to be harmonized with the circular that the DBM will issue on the matter. Will keep you posted.

Sir I would like to make an inquiry about the 3 step increment for Science and Math teachers as stipulated in JR-4? I have read about the unnumbered memo from Usec Bacani dated July 22, 2009 and the deadline was set last August 10, 2009 (submission of names). We presented the memo to our Admin officer but she said that we have to wait for the memo coming from DBM. Thanks Sir and more power!
