VISION |
The DBM shall be the
premier economic and financial manager of Government expenditures
that is responsive to national development needs.
The
officers and staff of the DBM are one in their aspiration to be
the the premier economic and financial manager of government by
leading and promoting judicious management of public resources in all its
forms: financial, human, physical or
technological.

MISSION |
| The DBM will lead public
expenditure management towards national
development.
The effectiveness DBM as
public expenditure management (PEM) leader/advocate will be
manifested in (a) government's fiscal health and stability; (b) effective
translation of the country's development priorities into sectoral and
functional budgetary allocations; (c) efficient, effective, and responsive
government agencies putting public resources to their most productive and
beneficial uses for the common good; and (d) transparency in public
spending, where managers and staff entrusted with public resources can be
held to account by the citizenry.
The DBM will, as a result,
contribute to the achievement of fiscal strength and
good governace goals, in concert with other departments and
agencies in the General Government Sector.
