LGU 20% Development Fund - Issuances, Updates and Clarification

The DBM and DILG has recently issued Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2011-1 prescribing the revised guidelines on the utilization of the 20% of IRA for Development projects. Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse M. Robredo today allayed the common problems faced by local chief executives over the usage of their 20% development funds sourced from Internal Revenue Allotment, saying it can be paid for expenses that are “connected to or related with” the implementation of a particular development project.  Full story >>
